Business Leader, Corporate Responsibility (Foster City, CA)

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business Leader, Corporate Responsibility will be a member of the Corporate Responsibility department of Visa Corporate Relations, assisting in the planning, strategy development and execution of key aspects of Visa’s Corporate Responsibility programs. The role will have lead responsibility for employee volunteerism, matching gift program and community events, with an emphasis on building out existing programs toward global participation. The Business Leader will coordinate global responses in times of natural disasters as well as contribute to overall charitable contribution request tracking, reporting and record keeping. This role also will work closely with Employee Communications to develop and execute a global strategy to raise awareness among and engage employees in Visa Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
This position reports to the Senior Business Leader, Corporate Responsibility, and will be based at Visa’s offices in Foster City, California.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Manage all components of the global employee matching gifts, volunteer and community events programs.
* Track and report employee participation, event funding and community impact.
* Respond to internal and external solicitations for sponsorships, grants, donations.
* Coordinate global disaster relief response process.
* Manage internal communications and website content for Corporate Responsibility employee programs, in coordination with Employee Communications.
* Create and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, particularly human resources and corporate services.
* Support written and verbal communications with appropriate external audiences, including annual reports, websites, brochures.
* Assist with charitable contribution tracking, budgeting and record-keeping.
* Maintain current knowledge and trend analysis of the stakeholders, legislation, solutions/thinking and market developments in: volunteering, matching gifts and local grant making.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) degree from top-tier institutions required.
* Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in roles managing employee matching gifts, volunteerism, community events and related programs.
* An understanding of employee communications is strongly preferred.
* Global or multi-national experience is strongly preferred.
* Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization.
* Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to management team and potential business partners.
* Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor addressing a wide variety of functional business problems.
* Exceptional project management and leadership skills and the ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive to completion.
* Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible.
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines.
